Examinations

It’s important to have regular dental examinations and your dentist will suggest how often these should take place. At every check-up, your dentist will ask you questions about any problems or pain you’ve had since your last check-up, examine your mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks and tongue and give you advice on things you can do to improve your oral health including how to brush, oral hygiene and dietary recommendations. we also have Oral health educators to support in the practice.

Hygiene

Hygiene appointments are for patients who need additional cleans to help maintain good periodontal (gum condition) hygiene. This may be required due to crowding, medical conditions, poor oral hygiene, pregnancy, smokers or just unfortunate genetics. Our clinicians here at Highgate will ensure you leave the practice with the clean feeling and educated on how to care for your teeth and gums at home.
